Distinction of mutations of the BRAF gene in the central nervous system by liquid biopsy
The IDBRAF-CNS kit is a ready-to-use multiplex test for the detection by digital PCR of mutations present in exon 15 (V600E) of the BRAF (B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase) gene and the duplication of its tyrosine kinase domain (Exon 9-18) accompanying the fusion between the KIAA1549-BRAF genes.
This optimized reaction system offers a multiplexed solution enabling simultaneous amplification of the BRAF V600E (c.1799T>A) mutation and the KIAA1549-BRAF gene fusion in a single PCR reaction for each sample.
The kit can be used on circulating DNA samples (cf-DNA) extracted from plasma or on genomic DNA samples (gDNA) isolated from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue.
