SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection kit by RT-PCR
IDNCOV2q is a real-time PCR-based standard detection and quantification kit targeting specifically SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA after extraction from patient samples in the context of suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection. This technique allows rapid detection of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and assists in the diagnosis of patients with Covid-19.
It is a relative quantification triplex system that allows, for each sample, to simultaneously amplify two target sequences and an endogenous internal control.
A high level of specificity is provided by a dual-detection system that targets two sequences at the nucleocapsid (N) protein-coding sequence level. This kit uses targets that have been validated by the CDC USA (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). An endogenous internal control, corresponding to a human gene, allows validation of cell lysis, extraction and amplification of the non-target gene. It guarantees the presence of the sample and the absence of false-negative results.
The IDNCOV2q kit is available for research (RUO) and diagnostic (CE-IVD) purposes. Likewise, the kit has been evaluated by the French National Reference Laboratory (Institut Pasteur Paris), whose report is available on the Société Française de Microbiologie website.
The kit is compatible with the following instruments: LightCycler 96, LightCycler 480 II (Roche Life Science), CFX-96 Real-time PCR (Bio-Rad), ABITM7500, QuantStudio 5TM (Thermo Fisher). For other instruments, please contact us.
